Psychopsis papilio

This posting goes to all flower enthusiasts, especially my father, the agronomist. I was most impressed to read about different types of wild orchids recently in an article. Psychopsis papilio is a species known as the butterfly orchid. It stays in bloom for most of the year and thrives in cool and relatively dry environments. It comes in a breath-taking array of bold colors. Here is a picture you may find intriguing.
